Hacked

Well as some of you may have noticed we have had a few problems lately since someone decided to Hack the forums. (yeah thanks!) I decided to update the site to the latest version of php-nuke platinum and implement more security to the site which has been an exhausting task. The forums are still down as I write this but I am working on it. I apologize for any inconvenience but will have everything up and running properly soon. This year I plan to put a lot of effort into the site to make it more fun and enjoyable. I apreciate your comments and feedback :)

Help Wanted!

Due to work commitments and limited time I need some help to run this site. If you like getting involved in online communities then this just might be for you. I am willing to revenue share with anyone that puts in the effort this can be discussed once we get things up and running. The site has huge potential and the framework is well in place but it needs a dedicated team to release its full potential.

What I Need Help with includes:

All aspects of running this site and keeping it up to date.

Some of the tasks are:
* Forum Admin and Moderators,
* Updating Links, Downloads and other features.
* Posting News, Information and reviews.

I would like to assemble a team made of at least 2-3 Admins several Forum moderators and at least one person dedicated to each of the sections covered (Theres over 30 sections).

The site is built on PHP nuke so if you know a bit about using Nuke then your even more valuable, Also if you have moderated forums before then Id really love to hear from you.

There is potential for those interested in helping out to earn some extra money doing this.

Arcade Genre Survey

Sorting the 1000s of games available in the Gameznet Arcade is a big job! Basically due to the size of the task it will be done slowly over a long period of time. In order decide which genres I should concentrate on first an most I thought I would find out what existing genres are generaly favored by members by conducting a survey. The information will come in useful for determining which genres get more attention in regards to populating them with games, correctly naming games and adding description info etc.

Bandwidth Appeal

We need your help to stay online! Since begining our site upgradea and adding the arcade games the bandwidth usage of the Gameznet Arcade has increased dramaticly. This has also increased the costs of running the site as we have had to upgrade our hosting account. Some of you will be aware that we exceeded our bandwidth in Febuary before the end of the month which caused the site to be inaccessible. So I must appeal to all members for your help keep the site from exceeding our bandwidth limits in the future. If you do happen to visit and see a bandwidth exceeded notification you will either have to wait until the end of the month when our monthly quota resets or we purchase more bandwidth if funds are available to us. There are several ways members can help us stay online and available. If you wish to assist us please read on...
